Accounting System Makes McDonnell Investments More Efficient

Chicago-based McDonnell Investment Management, which has recently upgraded its software provided by Eagle Investment Systems, said EIS has helped to make its business more efficient since McDonnell started using EIS four years ago.

Mr Dragstrem, McDonnell’s chief information officer, said: “We have dramatically improved our reporting efficiencies and now process our investment accounting reports more than 60 per cent faster. This has allowed us to focus on our business strategy, instead of the administrative needs.”

McDonnell, a $12 billion manager of fixed income assets, has been a client of Eagle Investment Systems since 2004, and has recently upgraded to a hosted version of its software, Eagle Access.  Having made the transition to the hosted service, McDonnell now has access to system upgrades, disaster recovery, and back office support without having to allocate internal staff resources.

Founded in 1989, Eagle Investment Systems is a subsidiary of BNY Mellon which provides financial services technology.  Eagle is headquartered in Massachusetts, and has several other US offices, along with locations in London, Toronto and Sydney.
